[NEWS] Big Bang Looks Like X-Men in “Monster” MV Teaser
Five member Idol group Big Bang, is getting a lot of attention from recently released pictures, which remind people of the movie X-Men.
On May 28, Big Bang’s agency, YG Entertainment, released pictures of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri on their official blog, YG Life. The pictures were captured from a music video for the group’s new song “Monster.”
In the pictures, group members are showing off their charisma through costumes, hairstyles, and makeup.
T.O.P, who is making a cold face and wearing a black cape, looks like a young Magneto from the movie X-Men. G-Dragon has red hair and is wearing black clothes while making fire with his hands. Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri also look mysterious like heroes from the movie.
Big Bang will release their special album, which includes 9 songs, in Korea, on June 6. The album includes 5 songs, including, the title song “Monster,” which is written by G-Dragon and Choi Pil Gang, “Still Alive,” “Feeling,” “Bingle Bingle,” and “Ego.” Songs from their 5th mini album, including, “Blue,” “Fantastic Baby,” “Bad Boy,” and “Love Dust” will also be included in the album.
The new songs will be pre-released on June 3 and a music video for “Monster” will be released on the same day as well.

G-Dragon‘s ‘Folder Greetings’ are creating a buzz.
Recently on an online community board, several pictures have been posted with the title ‘G-Dragon Folder Greetings’.
In the pictures, G-Dragon is bowing 90 degrees in respect looking like a folder folding. G-Dragon’s ‘Folder Greetings’ are truly impressing the fans as he is not only greeting the sunbaes of the music and broadcast industry this way but even towards hoobaes and audience members.
Netizen comments on G-Dragon’s ‘Folder Greetings’ include: “G-Dragon used to have sort of a rough-around-the-edges kind of image but it’s good to see that he is so polite”, “How can you not love a hoobae like that?”, “Not only entertainers but even average Joes should learn from G-Dragon”, and “I always felt that G-Dragon was polite.”

[TRANS] Daesung’s Interview on “Ray” Japanese Magazine
Q. When a girl that you like confesses to you, what words do you think ‘oh wow these words make me so happy!’?
Dae: All words make me happy. But rather than saying it directly as ‘I like you’, I think I prefer them to look me in the eye as they talk, or to seem like they’re speaking from the heart.
Q. Out of the 5 of you, who’d make the ideal boyfriend?
Dae: Taeyang. He’s earnest. He’s kinder than your average guy, but (if you’re a girl) please check out what kind of guy he actually is.
Q: What’s the most important thing for achieving your dreams?
Dae: I’m not going to simply give examples for ‘singers’ or ‘model’, I want to use adjectives. For example, in my case, I want to be ‘a singer who gives happiness’. Giving happiness is not just a word, it also means that my dreams as a singer become boundless.
Q: How do you like to sleep?
Dae: There are times when I wear PJs but normally it’s just pants. Even in winter, since my futon is warm, I sleep completely naked.
Q: If you won $4million in the lottery how would you use it?
Dae: I’d travel around the world until all my money was used up - on a cruise, plane, train; basically, on a super-luxurious plan. Wouldn’t it be amazing?
Q: Summer is here; what fashion do you want to see girls wearing?
Dae: Summer is colourful so I think people can enjoy fashion. But rather than new clothes, I much prefer girls who wear vintage items. Also, necklaces. When it hangs above their collarbones and I look at it, I think ‘ohhh’ (laughs).
Q: What are you into a the moment?
Dae: I’m into BIGBANG. Last year loads of things happened and we (possible ‘I’) couldn’t be active, so now I’m fully concentrating on Bigbang.
Q: What kind of person is TOP?
Dae: He’s the oldest but he doesn’t act all older-brotherly. He’s humble, but he also jokes a lot. After a live performance he suddenly demands a piggyback. He’s really heavy but because he’s my hyung I have to carry him.
Q: What Bigbang song do you want to listen to when you’re falling in love?
Dae: FANTASTIC BABY. It’s not about the lyrics, it’s that I want to say ‘you’re fantastic baby!!’. Kinda like a play on words.
Q: What Korean movie or drama do you recommend?
Dae: ‘Perfect Game’. It’s a true baseball story, and I heard that it was really good so I also want to see it.

Q: How do you stay healthy and keep your body in shape?
TOP: I think it’s important to balance and keep your body the same shape. When I have time, I try to work out my muscles at home and recently I’m doing more exercise that fits my body type.
Q: A song to recommend someone who’s depressed after a breakup?
TOP: A song in our new album, Alive - Bad Boy. (In the lyrics) I’m a bad boy…when I really liked a girl I couldn’t treat her right. I think this song can give comfort to a lot of people.
Q: What type of girls do you think your fans are?
TOP: Like young women. I think there are a lot of kindhearted and pure people.
Q: What do you wear when you go to sleep?
TOP: Matching Pajamas.
Q: How is SOL-san like?
TOP: Sometimes he’s like a kid and sometimes I think he must be very lonely.
Q: What would you do if you won 300 million?
TOP: I’ll give them to my parents.
Q: Summer style you want girls to wear?
TOP: I like casual and simple fashion. I don’t like it when there are too many accessories; something like vintage style & then adding a bit of your own personality into the outfit would be a nice finish.
Q: Your ideal summer date?
TOP: Somewhere with no one around except the two of us. We can spend it casually like watching the movies together. We can support each other mentally and the time we spend together alone is enough for me.
Q: Who would be the ideal boyfriend out of the BIGBANG members?
TOP: If I had to decide from a female point of view, I think we all have our good and bad points. We each have different personalities so I would recommend all, but then again haven’t the readers (of this magazine) chosen their ideal already? (laughs)
Q: The best way to achieve your dream?
TOP: The most important thing is to believe yourself and not be easily swayed. Don’t be too impatient…follow your dreams slowly and tell yourself that “I can’t do it” won’t make your dreams come true. Keeping yourself calm and happy is also an important step in waiting for your dreams to happen.

YB: I don’t have any experience of a summer date…but I like Okinawa, so I’d go there and swim lots and do marine sports.

YB: Keep thinking in your head ‘I want to achieve this’ - every day. If you do that then naturally the ability and power will come to you, and you’ll end up achieving your dream.

YB: Bad Boy. If you take in the lyrics you’re like ‘watch out for that Bad Boy!!’
Q: What Korean drama or movie do you recommend?
YB: To be honest, I don’t really know Korean stuff…I like anime and manga, like ‘One Piece’. I don’t even need to recommend it, it’s popular everywhere.
Q: How do you sleep?
YB: When I was little I wore PJs but now I just wear pants. When it’s cold I wear a hoodie or something.
Q: If you won $4million in the lottery how would you spend it?
YB: Buy a mansion (‘mansion’ in Japanese means a swanky flat). But to be honest, if I suddenly got dumped with $4million I’d give it to my parents to look after. I don’t like money.

YB: Things I’m into….there isn’t really anything (laughs). But even if there was something I don’t have the time.
Q: What kind of person is G-Dragon?
YB: Up until now GD has produced Bigbang’s music, so out of the members he’s the most professional. He’s also very sensitive and romantic.

Q: If I got depressed after breaking up with my other half, what BIGBANG song should I listen to?
Seungri: Tell Me Goodbye. The song is very carefree and I like that the meaning of “understood, enough” could translate to “goodbye” (laughs).
Q: Any Korean dramas or movies that you recommend?
Seungri: Secret Garden - a drama that talks about how a male and female switch roles. It’s very interesting. Our parody of it is already included in the DVD - please watch it!
Q: What do you wear when you go to sleep?
V.I: I only wear the bottom part….don’t think anything weird (laughs).
Q: What would you do if you won 300 million yen from the lottery?
V.I: I’ll give 100 million to my parents and donate 200 million to the people affected by the earthquake.
Q: A summer style you like/want girls to wear.
V.I: Reveal as much as possible but then if you reveal too much it’s not sexy anymore. I think see through material items are quite nice; the ones that kind of half show half hide (your skin)…that would make me interested.
Q: BIGBANG member that would be an ideal boyfriend?
V.I: G-dragon san. He will surprise you a lot, make a song for you and even cook for his girlfriend.
Q: How do you achieve your dream?
V.I: My English name is Victory, Korean name is Seungri which means to win. “Winning” has an opposite meaning though; if you find that your dream is getting further away from your original goal, then it’s important you change your dream into something else.

GD: There’s a lot but I would still recommend Queen Seon Deok. Go Hyun Jung played the evil role in the drama and I loved the drama a lot after watching it.
Q: What is V.I like?
GD: Even though he’s the maknae but he’s very hyper, kind of scary (laughs).
Q: What do you wear when you go to sleep?
GD: I take it all off….just kidding (laughs). Well, for example just my underwear because I want to feel relaxed when I sleep.
Q: What would you do if you won 300 million yen from the lottery?
GD: I’ll give it to V.I. I believe he will use it to invest in some sort of business and gain a lot more profit from it (laughs).
Q: A summer style you like/want girls to wear.
GD: T-shirt & jeans. For shoes, I think wearing Converse would be nice. There’s even a song in Korea that praises girls that wear jeans. I admire girls who mix and match different styles.
Q: BIGBANG member that would be an ideal boyfriend?
GD: D-Lite. D-Lite is awesome.
Q: How do you achieve your dream?
GD: If I talk about dreams, then I always feel that it’s better to have a big dream because the dream will always be achieved. Don’t have a small dream. It’s important to think and decide what your dream is every single day.
