[NEWS] Daesung Adds 21 More Shows to His Japanese Solo Tour
Big Bang‘s Daesung will have a whopping 25 shows for his solo tour!
His Japanese tour, titled ‘D-LITE D’scover Tour‘, will start on March 23 in Kobe, and will span for 3 months until June 18 in Yokohama. During those 3 months, Daesung will be providing ‘d-lite’ to fans in 19 cities with a total of 25 performances. Originally, Daesung was scheduled for only 4 dates in Kobe and Tokyo in March, but the concert planners must have grossly underestimated Daesung’s popularity, because they ended up adding an additional 21 concerts in 17 cities because of the high demand.
He’ll be visiting cities such as Nigata, Aomori, Hokkaido, Miyagi, Gigawa, Okayama, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Saga, cities that even Big Bang had never visited before.
His 3-month long tour means his tour will be going at the same time as leader G-Dragon, who will also hold his own 4-dome Japanese tour.

[NEWS] Taeyang’s Brother is Fan of Another Boy Group?
He may be Taeyang‘s brother, but Dong Hyun Bae revealed that he’s a fan of a boy group other than Big Bang.
Dong Hyun Bae tweeted: “My Japanese school alumni TEEN TOP are coming out with their album <No.1> on the 25th. Please listen to it a lot. This photo is of TEEN TOP’s maknae Changjo~ Changjo says he’s my younger brother’s #1 fan~. Thank you Changjo. ^^ Now~ Let’s all listen to it!” He also attached a photo of WANNABESUN99 otherwise known as Changjo.

[NEWS] Daesung Shares His Chicken Wing Obsession and Captivates with His Singing in Japan
Big Bang‘s Daesung captivated a crowd of roughly 1200 people at a Japanese event.
Daesung featured as a guest at ‘ViVi Night‘ held in Nagoya, Japan on February 22nd. With his singing skills and cute speech, he showed off his various charms.
This event was also covered in the local news and thus is garnering a lot of attention. SanK wrote on February 23rd, “Daesung came up on stage and shared that he loves chicken wings and would like to move here.”
Daesung sang three songs from his solo Japanese album ‘D’scover‘ that will be released on February 27th capturing the hearts of the roughly 1200 people gathered.
Daesung will release his solo album on the 27th and is planning to follow with active promotions for the album.

Model Masukawa Tsubasa Didn’t Like G-Dragon’s Hand on Her Shoulder?
Japanese model, Masuwaka Tsubasa is causing a stir after she stated that she didn’t enjoy Big Bang G-Dragon’s hand on her shoulder.
On February 21, Masuwaka Tsubasa appeared on the Japanese variety show, Downtown DX, where she talked about a time when she met the Big Bang members backstage after one of their concerts in 2012.
When she took a picture with them, G-Dragon put his arms around her and the model stated that she didn’t like the gesture, making the studio laugh in surprise. Daesung, who was also on the show with Masuwaka Tsubasa, smoothly apologized on behalf of G-Dragon.
Masuwaka Tsubasa explained that it was because she was completely devoted to her husband of eight years and model, Umeda Naoki.
Unfortunately, Masuwaka Tsubasa and Umeda Naoki divorced in January of 2013.
When some fans began to complain about the comment, Masuwaka Tsubasa apologized through Twitter, saying it was merely a joke.

The indomitable boy band has been covered extensively in the media for international chart success (their Korean “Alive” EP charted on the Billboard 200), YouTube clicks (over half a billion official views) and scandals (usually a career killer in Korea). But, perhaps, the stats from their first world tour speaks loudest.
BIGBANG has seemingly locked down their title as one of K-pop’s reigning megastars with one of the highest-grossing tours in K-pop history. The five members—G-Dragon, T.O.P., Taeyang, Seungri and Daesung — embarked their very first, world tour, “BIGBANG Alive Galaxy Tour,” on March 2, 2012.
The outing hit markets in 24 cities of 12 countries for a total of 48 shows (19 shows in Japan, six in South Korea, four in the U.S., three each in China and Hong Kong, two each in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and the U.K. and one each in The Philippines, Malaysia and Peru). In 10 months time, the group traveled 89,000 miles through the Americas, Europe and Asia.

[NEWS] Sean, Daesung, and Yoo In Na Join Forces to Open Children’s Hospital
YG Entertainment artists took time off of their busy schedules and stepped up to open a children’s rehabilitation hospital.
Sean, Big Bang‘s Daesung, and Yoo In Na joined forces for the ‘$10 Miracle‘ project, which is raising funds to build a children’s hospital, by donating a total of 30 million won (~27,800 USD) under the ‘YG WITH Campaign‘.
The campaign is led by none other than The Purme Foundation ambassador Sean, who’s asking participants to donate $10 daily for one year, a total of $3650 for children in need. Makeup brand Kiehl helped organize the charity event through the ‘Kiehl’s Mr. Bone Project‘. Over 1500 celebrities participated in the campaign throughout the years including YG Entertainment labelmates Psy, Big Bang, 2NE1, Se7en, Tablo, Gummy, Jinusean, and more.

[NEWS] Who Beat Psy’s “Gangnam Style” in Terms of YouTube Popularity?
Everyone knows Psy‘s huge success story with “Gangnam Style“.
The music video became the first video on YouTube to reach over 1 billion views, and that number is still growing. However, is he really the top Korean celebrity on YouTube? To answer the question, researchers from LG Economics Lab used a YouTube analyzer to find the top 15 videos that had the most views in early February.
Out of the 15 videos, there were 4 “Gangnam Style” related videos, 5 Big Bang music videos, and 3 Girls’ Generation music videos. Of course, out of all the videos, Psy’s video ranked #1 with the view count currently at over 1.3 billion. “Gee” came next with about 96,400,000 views, and “The Boys” ranked #3 with 67,270,000.
However, is the view count enough to determine how popular a video is? Probably not, since a promotional video needs a good response from its viewers to have the best effect. For this reason, the researchers decided to look at the number of ‘Likes‘ as well.
In terms of ‘Likes’, the best video was Big Bang’s “Monster“, which only ranked at #14 in terms of views. On the other hand, “The Boys” received 1.5 times more comments than the average K-pop related YouTube video, but only received 71% of the average ‘Likes’ ratio. As for “Gangnam Style”, the video got 1.04 times more comments than average, and 87% of the average ‘Like’ ratio.

The leading stylish celebrities, G-Dragon and Lee Hyo Ri, still flaunt their popularity by being the #1 most stunning paparazzi cut celebrity.
Before launching its new product in March, Fujifilm Electronic Imaging Korea conducted a survey from 12th to 19th February with 386 participants and got to know the celebrity who looks stunning even with ordinary style.
With the question “Who is the most stunning paparazzi cut celebrity?”, respectively G-Dragon (38%) ranked as the #1 male celebrity and Lee Hyo Ri (31%) as the #1 female celebrity.
The male celebrity is followed by So Ji Seob (29%) and Lee Byung Hyun (18%) as the #2 and #3, while the female celebrity is followed by Park Si Yeon (30%) and Kim Tae Hee (25%) ranked as the #2 and #3.
