[NEWS] G-Dragon Reveals “I Am Good When It Comes to Dating” and Other Tidbits
VIPs were finally able to catch ‘Thank You‘ on the 15th and were surprised upon hearing some of the things G-Dragon revealed.
Although many would assume G-Dragon has been with his agency YG Entertainment for most of his childhood, he revealed that wasn’t the case sharing, “I first entered SM Entertainment and trained there for five years and then moved to YG Entertainment.”
G-Dragon also opened up about how Yang Hyun Suk trained him, “He made me write and compose a song each week. That was when I was in my 3rd year of high school and now six years have passed. At first, I didn’t know how and where to start. But after getting used to it for one year I wrote lyrics naturally as if I was eating meals”, explaining how he became the successful songwriter he is today.
G-Dragon also expressed his confidence in the dating field sharing, “I am good when it comes to dating”, making fan girls wish he was their boyfriend.
[NEWS] How Did G-Dragon Do with His Cooking on SBS “Thank You”?
G-Dragon is a very talented artist and a well-mannered guy to boot! It may seem like he’s the perfect guy for a lot of fans out there, and they were even more convinced when it was said that he’d be showcasing his cooking skills on broadcast! However, it seems we might have to scratch cooking off the list of things this idol is good at!
G-Dragon tried his hand at cooking for the hosts of the show ‘Thank You‘ during its most recent episode, but it didn’t quite turn out as he had wanted.
He decided to make the current trending food in Korea, ‘Chapaguri’, which is a mix of instant ramen and ‘Chapagetti’ (instant jjajangmyun), while explaining to the hosts that “It’s popular lately“.
He attempted to fancy up the simple dish by adding various vegetables, but worried the hosts with his awkward knife skills as he did his best to chop up everything.
But despite his best efforts and the awkward chopping skills, the panel remarked honestly, “It’s too salty.”
He then tried to redeem himself with his steamed egg dish, but couldn’t help but laugh embarrassedlyas the hosts commented, “Just don’t run a restaurant.”
In the end, the hosts and G-Dragon balanced out the salty dish with the steamed eggs by combining the two together, and remarked that this new combination could perhaps be called ‘Chapa-dragon’.
Can you imagine G-Dragon as a member of TVXQ (DBSK) or maybe Super Junior?
It turns out he could have ended up in an SM Entertainment group as he had trained with SM before he moved to YG Entertainment.
In the March 15 broadcast of SBS′ Thank You, G-Dragon said, “First I trained for five years in SM, and then I moved to YG Entertainment. That′s where I continued my training.”
He then added that his composition skills had been honed by YG Entertainment rep Yang Hyun Suk.
“He had me write a song every week. That went on for six years,” he said. “I started when I was in my third year of middle school. I had to make a song, even if it was just a melody on a well-known pop accompaniment, and have it checked. I didn′t know where to start, and I wondered where it would lead.”
He said, “I thought I would be getting songs from famous composers, but he kept testing me. After about a year I became better at writing songs.”
“In that cycle, I had to write lyrics all day,” he said.
[NEWS] G-Dragon to Reveal New Song at Solo Concert

On March 15, YG Entertainment announced, “At the 2013 World Tour One of a Kind Seoul concert on March 30 and 31 at the Olympic Gymnastics Hall, G-Dragon will be revealing his new song, MichiGO.
Just like the title, MichiGO, which is play-on-words for the Korean word michigo, which means crazy, the song will be full of strong and exciting beats that will make the crowds want to go insane.
This will be G-Dragon’s first official release since his One of a Kind album in 2012.

G-Dragon revealed that he wanted to get married as soon as possible!
During the March 15 episode of “Thank You“, he traveled to Jeju Island with the rest of the panel. During one of the many conversations, he talked about marriage and dating.
He said, “I want to get married as soon as possible. If I had someone, I want to get married tomorrow. I heard that you can tell on the first sight if you’re going to marry that person. Is that true?“.
He also asked actor Cha In Pyo about his marriage to an actress, asking, “Is it nice to marry someone that’s in the same field of work as you are?“.
G-Dragon also added, “I have this big fantasy about what marriage is like. When you’re dating, there are good parts, but there’s also bad parts. I feel like I can’t focus on what I like, and I feel like my energy gets taken away. I think if I had a dependable family, I would have a good time both at work and with my family.”
[NEWS] G-Dragon Talks about His Growth Since The Marijuana Scandal
Two years ago, G-Dragon was swept under scandals of marijuana use. He rarely talked about the topic, but he finally talked about it openly on the March 15 episode of “Thank You“.
He opened up the topic by saying, “Because of the incident 2 years ago, I couldn’t appear on TV, and some of my fans turned their back on me.”
He continued, “After that, I cried a lot. It was a time where I was able to gather thoughts by myself and have time to self-reflect. I started to lower myself from that high pedestal. I’m living with my family now, and I’m learning to appreciate my family too.”
He also confessed, “When I was younger and had incredible success, it never really felt real. Before I knew it, I was jaded by the fame. I was empty and felt like I’d lost my dream. I didn’t know how it is to be thankful. I just thought that I was the best.“

KakaoTalk is a Korean chat application, similar to Whatsapp and LINE. A lot of Koreans have it installed in their phones and so does Big Bang. Unfortunately, unlike some other artists/idol-groups who have an official KakaoTalk, Big Bang doesn’t have one.
KakaoTalk plans to approach their consumers in Indonesia and Vietnam by having advertisement with Big Bang as the endorser. The group will work with singer Sherina Munaf from Indonesia and with actress Midu from Vietnam.
